Administration Assistant

We are expanding every facet of our Iron Ore business as we develop new ways to deliver competitive advantages to our customers.  Our most recent growth project, Rapid Growth Project 5, will take installed capacity at our Western Australian Iron Ore operations to 205mpta by the second half of calendar year 2011. 

Position Synopsis

We have an opportunity for a motivated and efficient team player to support the Manager Yarrie Mine and the site team with efficient and timely administrative support. This varied role will suit someone with demonstrated organisational and administrative skills.

Reporting to the Mine Manager Yarrie, you will work autonomously and schedule your work priorities with a focus on delivering the following responsibilities to the site:

  • Arranging meeting schedules, preparing weekly reporting, and general administrative duties;
  • Coordination of travel, accommodation and transport bookings for staff, contractors and consultants, including staff roster maintenance;
  • Management of the purchase order, requisition and accrual processes and expense reconciliation;
  • Maintenance of staff training and development plans and records, and coordination of training and site inductions; and
  • Regular liaison with contractors and consultants.

Skills and Experience

To be considered you will have a proven track record of success in the office administration / secretarial arena, together with a Certificate in Business Studies, or similar.

Key to your success will be your proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite; ability to multi-task; attention to detail; and professional and flexible approach. You will be capable of working with minimal supervision and demonstrate an ability to work and problem solve proactively. 

Well developed communication skills will also assist you to build relationships with a variety of people, groups and key stakeholders.

Location

This role is based at Yarrie and is offered on a Fly In Fly out basis from Perth on a family friendly roster. A competitive remuneration package is offered commensurate with experience, and includes performance incentive and a generous superannuation scheme, as well as other benefits.
