THINK AHEAD Engineering ManagersThink Purpose With these newly created positions, BHP Billiton Olympic Dam now invites you to apply your engineering and project management expertise to function as key change agents, driving improvements in reliability, project delivery and production capability. Reporting directly to the Vice Presidents on site, achieving success will require you from day one to work alongside our Maintenance Managers, (who are responsible for the planning, scheduling and execution of maintenance), and with our Production Managers, in order to optimise long-term reliability, ensure the effective delivery of projects and drive the provision of quality engineering support. You will have both reliability and project teams reporting to you, typically co-located with Maintenance. Credible, conscientious and assertive, your superior communication and collaboration skills will be applied to developing constructive dialogue with all stakeholders, listening to feedback from Maintenance Managers and partnering with them to improve reliability and project delivery. Operating within a supportive management structure, you will have the chance to make full use of your broad range of skills to deliver improvements. Think Requirements Qualified in Engineering, your track record testifies to your sound technical knowledge, effective problem solving skills and bias for tangible business improvement, including your proven ability to deliver improvements in reliability or reliability-related areas. These are roles for practical and innovative leaders, who are willing to role up their sleeves and work methodically to improve reliability and deliver projects. Your technical abilities will be complemented by effective interpersonal skills, fostering your efforts to facilitate teamwork and knowledge sharing.
