Think Opportunity Apply your excellent analytical skills at Australia's largest underground mine, where you will join a high performing, committed team within the Mine Technical Services Department. Reporting to the Geotechnical Superintendent, you will play a key role in the collection, analysis and reporting of consistently high quality geotechnical data. Think Purpose We seek action-oriented team-players to assist our Senior Geotechnical Engineer with providing technical input to the Mine Geotechnical team. This will include establishing geotechnical and mine design criteria for life-of-mine area design that are consistent with existing systems. Actively involved in providing geotechnical evaluation for mine infrastructure to ensure that the long-term strategy is reflected in the production schedule, you will also be expected to manage mine design and geotechnical research projects. Achieving success will require you to be vigilant for opportunities to improve work practices and procedures, whilst ensuring that the appropriate standards around safety and governance are complied with at all times. Think Requirements Degree qualified in Civil, Geotechnical or Mining Engineering, (or related discipline), you must have experience at an underground mining operation, preferably incorporating exposure to long hole open stoping and and cemented fill methods and technologies. Able to work collaboratively and autonomously, your effective communication skills will be crucial to building constructive dialogue across departments and with all levels of the organisation.
