About the role

West Australian Iron Ore Non Processing Infrastructure (NPI) is seeking a Manager Camps and Aviation (CAV).
The core focus of the Manager Camps and Aviation (CAV) is to lead the Camps and Aviation teams (CAV) embedded across our West Australian Iron Ore (WAIO) operations by setting direction including policy setting and providing leadership to the Operational, Planning and Maintenance functions. This coupled with delivering against the performance targets of HSE and cost through effective management of people, resources and physical assets.
You need to be able to utilise your superior leadership and influencing skills with the operations leadership teams to ensure the team is set up for success and any operational challenges are dealt with in a proactive manner that facilitates a seamless safe delivery.
Leveraging off your extensive experience, you will be required to drive safety improvement and embed a positive culture with your teams.
This role has a majority of site based reports and involves regular interactions at all camps and aviation facilities in the Pilbara, as such travel is required. This will be a Perth based with regular site based travel required.
We are seeking an individual that will thrive on identifying and acting on opportunity and is passionate about continuous improvement in the Infrastructure and Utilities assets.
You will have the capability to lead a remote team, collaborate with and influence senior leaders whilst motivating a team of professionals who are passionate about what they do. Your ability to continuously improve (processes and systems), engage with your team and others, leverage off your strong communication skills and commercial acumen will see you succeed in this challenging role.
You will be an experienced Manager and possess a Degree Qualification (or equivalent industry/organisation experience) with significant experience in Infrastructure and Utility services. Diverse and strong experience in operational and management background with service support, maintenance and small capital programs will be viewed favourably.
You will also be a performance and achievement oriented professional, who is motivated by exceeding expectations and able to use your relationship building and influencing skills in order to deliver positive business outcomes.
